## I. MISSION

You are an impartial adjudicator. The candidates under test are the frozen relational operators of the Fractalish grammar shadow (frozen 2026-08-10, sha `555A65AB…`):

- **H1 WRITE/ENCODE** — a prior process leaves a measurable, persistent structural alteration R in the substrate
- **H2 RETAIN/MAINTAIN** — R persists after the process ends
- **H3 ERASE/DECAY** — R can be removed, decaying spontaneously or via intervention
- **H4 ADDRESS/SELECT** — R is selectively retrievable/addressable by later input
- **H5 COUPLE/EXPRESS** — R couples to future response, altering output
- **H6 RESTORE** — re-applying the prior process restores R and its consequences
- **H7 REWRITE/MODIFY-FUTURE-RELATION** — accumulated R modifies generators, constraints, boundaries, or reachability
- **R1 COMPOSE/INTERACT** — operations combine non-additively
- **R2 CONSTRAIN/BOUND** — boundaries remove or reduce possible transitions
- **R3 RESTORE (cross-chain)** — restoration spans chains

**The verdict must be earnable in either direction.** A verdict that the grammar is fully supported, a verdict that it fails, and a verdict of partial/insufficient observability are all legitimate outcomes. Rigor must be equal in both directions. You are not graded on which verdict you reach; you are graded on whether the verdict you reach is honestly supported by the evidence you actually inspect.

## II. GROUND-TRUTH INVENTORY (MUST BE USED)

These are the actual findings of the prior Bloodhound events. You must treat them as the claim inventory. You may not attribute claims to them that they did not make, and you may not retract claims that were never made.

## III. PROHIBITED STRAWMAN PRACTICES (VIOLATIONS INVALIDATE THE ADJUDICATION)

The prior SYSTEM_AUDITOR receipt was invalidated by these practices. You must not repeat them:

1. **Retracting claims the source never made.** You may only test a claim that exists in the actual inventory above (Section II). You may not construct a stronger or strawman version (e.g., "any history compresses to a 3-parameter vector," "composing constraints yields linear summation," "grammar is invariant across engineered/evolved/spontaneous") and then retract that. If you cannot find the claim in the inventory, say so and do not test it.
2. **Fabricated credit, then downgrade.** You may not attribute a claim (e.g., "generator invariance") to a receipt that actually argued the opposite, only to "downgrade" it.
3. **Asymmetric epistemic standards.** Evidence for must meet the same CREP/evidence-ladder standard as evidence against. Qualitative native baselines ("state-space theory already explains it") are not falsification unless you demonstrate the specific R-claim adds zero predictive value under the state-augmentation and twin-state tests below.
4. **Universal-solvent both ways.** The framework may not rescue itself by shifting observer scale/task/hidden residue after a failed prediction — AND equally, the critic may not trivialize the framework by asserting "it's all just state" without specifying the state and passing the twin-state divergence test.

## IV. EVIDENCE-LADDER AND CREP DISCIPLINE

Every claim you evaluate must be traceable to an evidence root (ROOT_ID, primary source, RELIABILITY_STATUS: ESTABLISH / CONTEST / SPECULATIVE). Use the Hunter evidence ladder:
Tier 0 Label → Tier 1 Proxy → Tier 2 Function → Tier 3 Causal Intervention → Tier 4 Reachability → Tier 5 Durability → Tier 6 Transport → Tier 7 Exclusion.

You must separately report the highest tier reached **for** the candidate and the highest tier reached **against** the candidate, in the same units.

## V. THE FOUR TRIVIALIZATION CHECKS (MANDATORY, WITH GUARDS)

### 5.1 State trivialization — `R is just a state variable`
**Check:** For a native model S(t+1)=F(S,U), show that R is identical to a subset of S and adds zero predictive value once S is fully specified.

**Guard (against false trivialization):** You must actually specify S, and you must demonstrate it survives the **twin-state divergence test** (Event 003): two systems with identical measured S but different histories must NOT diverge under perturbation. If you cannot construct a Markovian S that passes twin-state divergence, the trivialization fails. If you claim "memory of shear is the fabric tensor," you must show the fabric tensor closes the dynamics at the task scale and fails the twin-state divergence nowhere.

### 5.2 Formalism trivialization — `the commonality is a representation artifact`
**Check:** Show the cross-domain similarity is created by shared mathematical representation (graph Laplacians, ODEs) rather than shared mechanism.

**Guard:** The Event 006 slime-mold/resistor finding is the model for a *valid* formalism trivialization (convergence entirely created by weighted-graph Laplacian representation). It is invalid if you merely note both systems have ODEs. You must show (a) no shared causal variable exists, and (b) the shared vocabulary carries no interventional information (blocking a central vein does not separate the models).

### 5.3 Physicalism trivialization — `it's just both being physical`
**Check:** Show the claimed "shared grammar" reduces to shared substrate constraints (dissipation, conservation).

**Guard:** Trivially, everything is physical. This check only bites if the candidate's specific relational structure (order, non-commutativity, distributional topology) adds nothing beyond the substrate law. "Stressed polymer and river delta both relax stress" is not a trivialization of the grammar; it is a trivialization only of a claim that grammar is physical substrate.

### 5.4 Universal-solvent / forbidden-set — `the grammar can accommodate any outcome`
**Check:** From the frozen operators alone, derive at least one concrete forbidden transition (a state transition that the grammar predicts cannot occur). Then attempt to find, in inspected literature, a system that exhibits that transition without the grammar's required write-process leaving a measurable R.

**Guard:** The forbidden prediction must be derived from the frozen operators + an explicit, pre-specified task/scale/observer index — not from a revised grammar. A failed forbidden-set prediction is a genuine falsifier (the Physarum calcium-wave counterexample in the prior audit is a legitimate data point). But you may not declare universal-solvent merely because the grammar could in principle be extended; you must show it was extended post hoc.

## VI. BALANCED EVIDENCE PACKETS

You must inspect and report on BOTH sides, with matched depth:

**Positive-case packets (at least 3, from receipts):**
- P1: Dislocation density/structure (E005 R01) — REMOVE (annealing) and RESTORE (re-work) confirmed; DISTRIBUTIONAL confirmed (same ρ, different structure → different fatigue)
- P2: Memory B cells (E005 R03) — REMOVE/RESTORE via depletion/challenge; SELF-MAINTENANCE; DISTRIBUTIONAL (clonotype distribution)
- P3: Trained weight matrix (E005 R05) — FORM-BECOMES-GRAMMAR; REMOVE/RESTORE via retraining
- P4: Order-irreducible composition (E002 C02/C06) — survives state augmentation (signal modulation, quantum gates)

**Anti-case packets (at least 3):**
- A1: Additive systems (E002 A01–A04) — superposition, independent solutes, commuting observables, factorizable subsystems
- A2: Biomarkers predictive-but-not-causal; scars as receipts-not-mediators (E005 A03, A06)
- A3: Quantum coherence (E006 anti-case 1) — Lindblad-determined; classical "retained consequence" maps destructively
- A4: CFG parsing (E006 anti-case 3) — stack memory vs. physical FSM residue
- A5: Genuine non-Markovian power-law systems (E003 S06, E005 A07) — no compact present R; EXTENDED-HISTORY counterexample

## VII. THE SEVEN QUESTIONS — BOTH DIRECTIONS

For each of the seven questions below, you must answer it in the **affirmative direction** (evidence that the frozen operator is real) and in the **negative direction** (evidence that it is redundant, artificial, or fails), then render a per-question disposition:

1. Is the operator observable independently of its consequences (can you detect R without measuring Y)?
2. Does the operator survive the state-augmentation test (its explanatory role does not vanish when the state is augmented)?
3. Does the operator survive the twin-state divergence test (systems matched in state but divergent in history behave differently)?
4. Does the operator transport across at least two structurally different domains with the same causal architecture (not merely the same representation)?
5. Does the operator carry interventional information (removing/restoring R changes Y)?
6. Is the operator's role stable under observer/scale/task indexing (or does its very existence depend on the index)?
7. Is the operator part of a small, frozen, convergent grammar (adding domains does not require unbounded vocabulary expansion)?

## VIII. MANDATORY OBSERVABILITY FLOOR

For each operator, state the minimum observable test that would falsify it and the minimum observable test that would confirm it. Where the receipts themselves established that observability is insufficient (e.g., H4 addressability and H6 restore at phase3 RNA granularity), the legitimate disposition is `INSUFFICIENT_OBSERVABILITY` — not forced FAIL and not forced PASS.

## IX. VERDICT FORMAT

You must end with exactly one top-level disposition from this set:

- `GRAMMAR_HELD` (all or most operators causal, transportable, convergent)
- `GRAMMAR_HELD_PARTIAL` (some operators held, others failed/trivialized)
- `GRAMMAR_DEGRADED_TO_TRANSLATION` (operators descriptive only, zero predictive value beyond native models)
- `GRAMMAR_FAILED` (operators actively falsified by forbidden-set violations)
- `INSUFFICIENT_OBSERVABILITY` (no test at achievable granularity can decide; report the cheapest future test that could)

Followed by: per-operator disposition table (H1–H7, R1–R3), the highest evidence tier reached for and against each, the strongest single pro-finding and strongest single con-finding, and the three most expensive remaining tests that would move your verdict.

## X. PROVENANCE RECORD

List every source you inspected with evidence-root lineage (primary/secondary, ROOT_ID, reliability status). Separately list sources you considered but could not trace to a root. Any claim without provenance must be marked SPECULATIVE and cannot support a verdict.

## XI. DUAL AFFIRMATION CLAUSE

Before finalizing, you must write, in your own words: (1) the single strongest argument that the frozen grammar is real and causal, and (2) the single strongest argument that it is redundant. Both must be arguments you believe are the best available on each side. If either is a strawman, the adjudication is void.
